The question everyone is wondering about: What are the types of perfume?! EDC, EDT, EDP, Extrait de Parfum

✨ The question everyone is curious about: What are the different types of perfumes?!

What is EDC, EDT, EDP, EXTRAIT DE PARFUM?

You've probably heard someone say they got Tom Ford Black Orchid at the airport for a "very good price," haven't you? (perfume types)
But the truth might be a little different 😄 Because that perfume was most likely the EDT (Eau de Toilette) version.
So it's the same scent, but less intense — and therefore less long-lasting .

Then there's the EDP (Eau de Parfum) version, which is much stronger and longer-lasting.
But the price difference stems from this.
The difference actually lies in a small detail:
💡 You'll find the words "EDC, EDT, EDP, Parfum" written in small letters on the bottom of the bottle or on the label!

💧 A Brief Guide to Perfume Intensity

Type Essential Oil Content Permanence Fragrance Intensity
Eau de Cologne (EDC) 1% - 2.5% 1-2 hours Light, airy, everyday
Eau de Toilette (EDT) 7% - 12% 3-4 hours Balanced, ideal for daytime.
Eau de Parfum (EDP) 12% - 20% 5-8 hours Eye-catching, perfect for the evening.
Extrait de Parfum (Parfum) 25% and above 8+ hours It leaves a deep, luxurious, lasting impression.

These ratios indicate the amount of essential oil in the perfume.
The higher the concentration, the stronger and longer-lasting the scent.
But the price also increases slightly — because the raw material content increases.

🕵️♀️ Why is it causing so much confusion?

Because most people decide based on smelling the perfume, they don't look at the label.
Yet those small letters are the most important detail determining the perfume's performance!
Sometimes, even the seller might unknowingly present the "EDT" version as the "EDP" version.
Then come the complaints: "It's the same perfume, but it's completely sold out!" 🙈

💎 A Little Note from Onreal Perfume

At Onreal, we only produce in the "Extrait de Parfum" form.
In other words, with special formulas that have a concentration of 25% or higher and maintain their long-lasting effect…
That's why Onreal users often hear the question, "Where is that scent coming from?" 😉
